In small groups, participants are able to gain perspective, practice new skills, and receive feedback from others who have shared experiences.
Some skills we might practice in small groups:
Active listening – really tuning in to what others are saying without reacting right away.
Speaking openly – sharing thoughts and feelings honestly, even if it feels vulnerable.
Giving and receiving feedback – learning how to offer supportive feedback and consider new perspectives.
Setting boundaries – expressing limits in a respectful way.
Self-reflection – bringing awareness to your thoughts, triggers, and growth areas.
Building trust – practicing consistency, respect, and openness within the group.
